Our annual design contest provides an opportunity for our DIY customers and professional designers to showcase their creative talents. This year we had hundreds of entries and it was truly amazing to see how creative our customers are! The staff here at Cards & Pockets voted to narrow down the entries, and our customers voted for the top three in both the Do It Yourself and Professional Design categories. This week we’re showing off the Do It Yourself Entries!

Our judges and voters were all impressed with these amazing hand cut invitation! Here are some words from the bride:

“The base card/enclosure was completely created/cutout by hand from the 8 1/2″ X 11″ sheets of  Shadow Cardstock. I also created the snowflake mosaic design for the cutouts.

Also, the RSVP envelope was created by hand using the 8 1/2” X 11” sheets of Dotty patterned paper (Paper color: White; Pattern color: Jupiter). I created these so that they would coordinate with the envelope liner and also be the perfect size to fit seamlessly in the pocket of the enclosure.

Everything was created by hand and designed by myself (an amateur, but avid DIYer).I take a lot of pride in the way that my wedding invitations came out and I am so excited to be looking forward to the best day of my life :)”
