2015 DIY Invitation Design Contest Winners

We are so excited to announce the DIY winners for this years invitation design contest! Every year we get giddy seeing hundreds of our customers enter their designs and are utterly amazed at their creativity. The employees here at Cards & Pockets choose the top 10 and then we let the public vote on the winners. So without further ado, we have the top three!

Rachel Dason – First Place
DIY Invitation Contest - Rachel Dason - First Place

We loved Rachel’s elegant and modern design combined with the gold foil and the subtle pink color of the Soft Coral paper. The custom envelope liner ties it all together and gives it a great pop of color.

“The invitation was printed in gold foil so was a little bit hard to capture. I did custom calligraphy for our names and the word “RSVP” myself. I used the signature pocket invitation in Soft Coral.”

Jeni Tran – Second Place
DIY Invitation Contest - Jeni Tran - Second Place

Jeni’s design used the lace, ribbon, and elegant typography to create a very delicate and elegant feel. The bright pastel colors made this a very modern and pretty suite.

Kaitlin Henninger – Third Place
DIY Invitation Contest - Kaitlin Henninger - Third Place

Kaitlin created a fun combination using glitter and watercolor elements for her suite. We love the style of the insert headings and how they cascade  in the pocket.

I created a glitter belly band, tied it with bakers twine to match the pocket invitation color and then created a “K+K” tag with Cards and Pockets snow white card stock. I painted the watercolor designs myself to go with our venue, an art museum. I also used Cards and Pockets for my Bachelorette party invitations and Rehearsal Dinner invitations.”
