2018 Invitation Design Contest – Professional Designer Winners

Each year, we hold an Invitation Design Contest and invite our customers to submit their favorite designs. We’re always amazed by the beautiful work of DIY brides and professional designers alike! This year was our 10th Annual Invitation Design Contest, and we received more entries than ever!

Take a look at the 2018 top three Professional winners, and find out which Cards & Pockets materials were used to create their invitation masterpieces.

First Place – Sara Zebrowski, Laurel Cove Creative

1st-Pro-Sara-Zebrowski

Sara’s winning invitation design is a woodland-inspired wedding suite that she created for her very own big day!

She says “The main Invitation featuring rose gold foil stamping was framed in the Laurel Leaves Invitation Slide-in Card in Mid Green and mounted to a Panel Card in Harvest. For a special touch, I used a Monogram A7 Laser Cut Envelope in Mid Green paired with a Real Cherry Wood Envelope Liner for our Inner Envelopes (the real wood showing through was stunning), and also used Real Cherry Wood for the Belly Band.”

The pairing of the Real Cherry Wood and the Mid Green Laurel Slide-In Card is a winning combination that matches her woodland theme perfectly! You can see more of Sara’s designs at Laurel Cove Creative.

Second Place – Jenna Obermiller, icandothat design

2nd-Pro-Jenna-Obermiller

Jenna’s beautiful invitation suite features an array of green with bits of gold mixed in. The attention to details in all aspects of the suite sure makes an eye catching display!

Jenna says “This is my very own wedding invitation! I fell in love with all of the shades of green papers with the pop of mustard yellow. This color palette was carried throughout the whole wedding, even with the bridesmaid dresses and florals. This is hands down my favorite wedding invitation design to date!”

Third Place – Natalie Leroux, Studio Eighty Seven

3rd-Pro-Natalie-Leroux

Natalie’s playful invitation design features a custom accordion folded card in Cream Puff with multicolored printed illustrations. We were drawn to the incredible hand-drawn illustrations and typography that flow throughout the suite. Her invitation was paired with New Blue envelopes, with menus and welcome cards printed on Cards & Pockets paper to coordinate.

More of Natalie’s designs can be seen at Studio Eighty Seven.
